Juicing: Day 3
Yesterday was neither too garlicky nor too gingery. All the juice I was making just sorta tasted like a mishmash of stuff with no real defined taste. Christine to the rescue. She found a blog called Banzai Aphrodite that had some great juice recipes and tips. I made the “apple pie”* juice last night and it was pretty good. Apparently the key is “less is more”. I’ve just been throwing in everything until I filled up my bottles for the day. Today I’m going to try to focus on putting in no more than four things to each juice and maybe doing a couple different flavors for the day.
I thought I was feeling better, which in turn would have to have made me look better. A couple people commented yesterday that I looked tired. I’m not sleeping that well. Michael Clark commented on how he was tired pretty early at night, but woke up pretty easily. Yeah, that’s the same here. I had to wake up at 5:45 for a thing and I got up pretty quickly. Last night I feel asleep before midnight watching Modern Family.
The first day has been the hardest, but so far, so good.
*Sweet potato, tart apple, a little bit of cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg = delicious.
